「 craving away 7:24 AM 」

Long have I last visited here. Many things to say. More to the BB side.

AQ08 was indeed a very memorable experience for me. Boys' team wasn't easy with hundred plus other teams competing with you. We even cut the hair punk hairstyle for the race. Prizes were given to the first 10 teams. My team came in 11th. Team 112. Disappointing.

I remembered how this year's AQ came about. I requested for the place of AQ chairman but ChongRui got it. I was unagreeing to it at first but accepted it eventually. I have guided him from the start with much of the plans in mind, till his engine started and lifted off. He was a good chairman, one that is worth respected.

Trainings have moulded us physically and mentally. Half a year of running, gym trainings and biking have really made us stronger and soon before we know, AQ08 arrived.

Here is a summary of what my team do in the race: The flagoff send all of us, approximately 120 teams racing off, towards one goal. My team maintain the position of top 10 position. Pacing with the other teams, we maintain our speed and overtaking one team slowly but effectively. However, the unexpected happened and we slowed down, dwindled in our position. Teams zoomed past us. That scene was very heart-aching for me. We continued on when the problem was resolved and we did our best to catch up with the first few teams. Soon, the second problem arrived. Miscommunication in the navigators got us haywired and we went the wrong route. Though this dampen our spirit alot, we did not push blame nor give up but put in twice as much effort to revive our team. It was real sportsmanship. Soon when we reach the Rock climbing station. We were in 17th position. A good position given that we had two setbacks. MingJun and ChongRui did the rock climbing while me and Benjamin plan out routes shortest to the next checkpoints. After which, we ran all we got, completing the checkpoint around NUS and back to school. When we got back to school, we were in positon 18th.

I plotted the routes for Leg2, Cycling leg. Benjamin went to relieve himself and the rest were eating. We were very very hungry then. Mr Oi was there too. However, at this buffer time, we rested too much.

Once again we blasted out of ITE and continued the race. The first ever checkpoint of route 2 was Micro Navigation, a simpler term would be bashing through trees and grass. Ben and I did that activity. We took quite some time as the clues there was hidden way too well. After that, we ran to the biking spot to retrieve our bikes. We cycled fast passing checkpts by checkpts. During one of the checkpoints, due to the inefficiency of the AQ planning commitee, we lost out in a few positions. The railway track in the route card does not tally with the actual thing. This made us very pissed. After that, it was more of bike pushing than cycling. Through grassy and muddy terrain, we push our bikes until we reach the kayaking/archey place. MingJun and Chongrui did pretty well in kayaking. Me and Benjamin did archery in a nearby school. We were at the archery place with the postion of 17th. We got through in the first time. I shot 2 balloon and Ben shot 1. We went back and met up MingJun and Chongrui. We chiong back all the way. and when we reach the biking spot to put our bikes. We were told we are at 11th positon. We are quite depressed alr as we see no teams infront. However, we still ran with all our might back to ITE, wanting to end the race once and for all. Unexpectedlly, when we were reaching the endpoint. Seeing a ray of light, we ran, competing with them with all our might at different sides of the road. 'Damn' came out of me when the side of our road have no traffic light. We have to cross to their side first. We knew we already lost the race.

We ran through the gate of ITE, reaching the endpoint. When I saw the supporters who came for us, I didnt know how to face them at first. I felt that we disppointed them. Thank You all who have come and support us- Wilson, Chelsia, ZiXiang, Geoffrey, LiJing, Sheena, Vannesa. They came even though they have a concert to watch later on.

For the other teams, great job. I know all of you did you best. It's the priceless experience that counts.

ThankYou ChongRui for handling AQ well.

3 years of AQ is one of the best experience in my life. I will never forget it. I will come back for the Open Team next year. Watch out.

Thats all for AQ08, 5th of April, a day i will not forget.

Then, two weeks later, promotion came. A week before the promotion, I had a hard time concentrating in every thing I do. Thoughts ran through my mind. What rank will I get? Will my efforts I have put in BB be recognised?

Then it was promotion. Everything came to a halt when I heard SSG LeeJingHan. I paused awhile before recieving the rank. It was tough and I was unwilling to accept the fact that I was not promoted to the rank of WO. The fact that there is not any WO was also shocking. I was greatly disappointed as I believed with all my efforts and time I have put into BB is more than any other Boy. Apart from studies, I have only BB in mind. But I was stunned when I heard the issues regarding not double promoting.

1. Classroom behaviour
2. Hair

Classroom behaviour is a total crap reason to me. Being in a class with 6 BB boys, the teachers will tend to pick on us. Even if we do a little bad, we are condemned. Teachers like LinSiewKim and SallyLai, to me, are lousy teachers even before the promotion. MingJun and Me sat infront of the class. SallyLai complain to MrPoh that we are still talking in class even when she entered the class. Wtf. The whole class is talking and she pick on only us just because we are sitting infront? Moreover the 'class stand' command is not given and we usually follow that. LinSiewKim another newbie teacher. She suck at teaching. She singled me out and ask me stand at the back and complained to MrPoh. As for LinSiewKim. Do you even know why was I talking and about what? Did I even talk very loud? Why only single me out when other people talk too?
Lousy teachers yet survivng in AHS. Guess I can only say I am suay.

Hair. I admit I was very particular about my hair previously, but I changed didnt I?

I am upset but not getting WO but glad that all the pressure from BB is gone. Now Olevels is coming. I dont think I am prepared for it yet. TJC/MJC is tough to enter, for me.

That marks the near end of my BB career. Still wrapping up somethings.

Class was boring these few days. But the people around me liven the mood up. I am always asking Jane about studies. She seem to be so relaxed yet scoring for tests. How does she do it? haha. Here's the post you requested for and stop reading those not funny comic. hah. Gina is always sleeping but her maths is very good. MingJun is the guailan buddy. Along with Marcus. Guailaning with them was really fun.

Today went to eat with Mr Oi, Benjamin and MingJun at PasirRis central market. Talking about the aftermath of promotion and some other stuff. Later went to study with Chelsia awhile. We went to her church later. The God language was really amazing and it freaked me out. They are like jumbling different words up. Haha quite funny. Later we went library and played wireless internet with my phone for very long before going off. Lol. looking at old blog posts is really funny.

Team 112.
